The charities that we want to support this year are:

CARA (London charity providing pastoral and spiritual supportfor people living with HIV)
Church Army (Anglican charity working with all age groups including the Marylebone Project working with homeless women)
Jimmy Mizen Foundation (local charity promoting good in young people)

Welcare (works with families in Lewisham)
Water Aid (provides safe water in many African countries)
We also give specific collections during the year to The Manna Society, St. Christopher's Hospice and The Children's Society. Please submit in writing to the Churchwardens any suggestions of other charities you wish us to consider.
Mission possible!
In the past fifteen years, we have always put missionary giving at the core of what we are about. We have given over £2000 each year to worthwhile causes, both in this country and abroad. Traditionally, the Bazaar has funded our giving but with the hall development, it has not taken place in 2011.
For this reason, we are asking everyone at St Andrew's for a one-off donation this year to provide the money for us to give generously again this year. Please put your contribution n the box, you may use the envelope provided.
As St. Andrew's Day is traditionally a day of intercession for the missionary work of the Church, we will all have the opportunity to contribute to our missionary giving in St. Andrew's tide at all the services between Nov 26th and Dec 4th. In addition, the Church will be open from 10-12 on Sat Dec 3rd.
